Bay Area real estate professionals are counting down to TAKING THE LEAD 96, Northern California's premier real estate conference and exposition. Hosted by the Institute of Real Estate Management's San Francisco Bay Area chapter, the third annual TAKING THE LEAD event will be held on Wednesday, September 4 at the San Francisco Marriott Hotel. Featuring keynote speaker Herb Cohen ("You Can Negotiate Anything"), a host of nationally-recognized panelists and an exciting breakfast address, this year's event promises to be a sell-out once again.
Throughout the day, real estate professionals will hear up-to-the-minute information on industry trends, staying competitive, tools to help their business grow, and techniques to enhance their professional skills, and will have the opportunity to network with industry leaders and gather information from over 100 industry vendors in Exhibition Hall.

This internationally renowned corporate and governmental consultant has negotiated in many of the world's headline dramas, from hostile takeovers to hostage negotiations.
To kick off the conference, high-tech advertising executive David Goswick and video conferencing expert James O'Donnell, MBA, will present "The Virtual Explosion: Real Estate's High-Tech Future," an enlightening look at cutting-edge technology -- including virtual reality and interactive software -- and its impact on the way real estate professionals do business.
With more than eight program sessions planned for Taking the Lead 96, conference attendees can choose from a multitude of topics such as "The Real Estate Market's Road to Recovery," "The Ins and Outs of Management Proposals: What You Need to Know to Win the Contract," and "Don't Get Zapped By the Deregulation of Electricity."
